OPEN CALL FOR WRITERS

The Anti-Uranium Mapping Project invites writers to imagine a future Nuclear New Mexico. One where uranium mining resumes, pit production increases at Los Alamos, and nuclear energy defines daily life.

Writers are encouraged to envision speculative futures that are hopeful, critical, and haunting. What happens to our bodies, our lands, our waters, and our stories in this version of New Mexico?

We're looking for writing that pulls the reader into a place, evokes mood, and instills empathy. Your piece should make this imagined future feel close, tangible, and urgent-especially for those who may not yet see the dangers in their own back yard.
